Potential for More Targeted Therapies Identified in Large Lung Cancer Study

The first comprehensive genetic analysis of squamous cell carcinoma of the lung has been reported by a nationwide consortium of scientists. The former is a common type of lung cancer responsible for about 400,000 deaths each year.
