A recent study published online in Cancer Prevention Research has revealed that the risk of lung cancer can reduced by half with consuming raw garlic twice a week.
Of course, moderation is the key, and one should not consume more than one to two cloves per day.
This benefit of consuming garlic and reduced risk of lung cancer was found to be applicable even for smokers, the study revealed. "Garlic may potentially serve as a preventive agent for lung cancer," the scientists said.
